Ah car crash

In Sept 26th, I had my first ever car accident. It was a rainy afternoon at 5:19pm. My gf and I were driving to Newmarket to try out the new restaurant called Katsu Katsu.

I was driving straight as the other car crashed into me on the right. The speed wasn’t too fast but it is a car crash :(

So how to I feel at that time?

It was umm blank.

Yes my brain literally went blank at that moment as I never thought this would happen in my life. It felt like my eyes saw that car crash into me, then my brain received the signal and processed it within 0.01 second. Unfortunately it was toooo late for my feet to hit the break, and the car crash just happened.

Honestly I wasn’t even scared at that time cos it was purely blank, there is no room for scariness at all. It was full of (oh shet what should I do, is this even real, omg what the heck.) Yea something like that.

I would say learn from your mistake but it is tooo cliche. So here are something I learnt from this in case anyone reading this would like to know what to do in your first ever car crash:

  1. Check if you or anyone is injured.
  2. If no one is hurt, good, now take up your phone and take videos of what has been damaged, both your car and the other car.
  3. Then try to move the car to the side/emergency lane/any where not affecting the ongoing traffic.
  4. And now is the argue time with the other driver, I might write another post on this.

Anyways, the first thing is to keep yourself safe.

And of course, I hope you would never have a car crash. If you do, hope you can remember the tips in this article and it would definitely be helpful : )

Good luck, all the best!
